Brookville, Indiana

Brookville is a small town in Franklin County, which lies along the Whitewater River in southeastern Indiana, about 40 miles northwest of Cincinnati. Despite being founded in 1808, and consistently settled since 1816, the town has hosted little known Jewish history.

Jewish History

The only known Jewish history in Brookville was the brief existence of a store run by Austro-Czech Jewish immigrant Ignatz Popper in town.[1]
