Arrow Rock is a small town in western Missouri located near the Missouri River. The town played a significant role in the history of westward expansion, as it was a major stop along the Santa Fe Trail. Despite this its significance in larger U.S. history, it's Jewish history remained sparse.

The Levy Brothers

There is little Jewish history to speak of in Arrow Rock, with the known history centered on the Levy family, a number of brothers who owned dry-goods stores across the region. By 1866, Moses Levy ran a branch of the Levy Bros. stores in Arrow Rock. However, in 1873, Moses closed up shop and moved his branch of the business to Marshall Township.
